What is Reflexology? Reflexology is a non-invasive and a gentle therapy that has been practiced for thousands of years and is still developing through modern scientific studies and research. Reflexology techniques are specific methods used to apply pressure to certain points on the feet, hands, face or ears that correspond to different organs and systems in the body to create relaxation and get the body balance itself to work on concerns.
Treatment Description: There are different techniques used like; finger and thumb walking, hook and rotational pressure, press and release, as well as long and short strokes of massaging legs to help relaxation and blood flow. Each treatment includes working on 86-100 body reflexes on feet (and hands) that can be customized to accommodate the client's main concerns, while covering all the body reflexes to maintain overall body and mental balance.
Benefits: Customized treatments may improve conditions like indigestion, menstrual cycle pains, pre and postnatal pains, sleep pattern and stress and others.
Products Used: A natural organic non-aromatic lotion and essential oils with client consent. Oils may be customized for a treatment plan to accommodate the client’s main concerns.
Treatment is done by a Registered Reflexologist and Certified Aromatherapist {member of the RRCO - Reflexology Registration Council of Ontario - and the CFA (The Canadian Federal Association for Aromatherapists) and the CAOA (the Canadian Alliance of Aromatherapy)
